LaSalle Public Library to Host University of Illinois Extension Live Virtual Presentation Series

Starting in June, 2020, the LaSalle Public Library will be hosting a series of five live virtual presentations offered by the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener and Master Naturalist programs.

The series kicks off on June 9th at 6:00 p.m. with “Container Gardening” led by University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener volunteer Natalie Martin. Do you have limited space, or would like to enhance the curb appeal of your home? Either way, container Gardening would be a great choice! In this program, moderated by library staff, Natalie will explore different plan options, container sizing, and care.  At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to ask questions via live-chat.

The other programs in the series include the following:

  • “Transformational Gardening” on June 13th at 2:00 p.m.
  • “Rain Gardens” on June 16th at 6:00 p.m.
  • “Landscaping for Birds” on June 20th at 2:00 p.m.
  • “Backyard Birds” on June 23rd at 6:00 p.m.

This program is free, open to the public, and will be presented in an easy-to-use virtual format. Interested individuals will need to email Rachael Blomquist at the LaSalle Public Library in order to register and receive the link to each program and viewing instructions.
