Leadership and Community Service found through 4-H Federation

4-H recognizes that youth are an important resource in our communities. 4-H doesn’t teach youth to be leaders someday in the future; 4-H places youth in meaningful leadership roles today and surrounds them with caring, supportive adults. One way to grow into a leader is through 4-H Federation.

Bureau County will be hosting an online Federation Kick Off on Thursday, October 29th from 4 – 5 pm.  Youth ages 13 – 18 interested in gaining leadership and community service experience, while having fun, are invited to attend.  Registration for the virtual kick off is required.

For more information about the 4-H program, call University of Illinois Extension – Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam Unit Office at 815-875-2878. Extension offices are located in Princeton, Ottawa, Henry and in Oglesby on the IVCC campus.
