Magnolia Public Library to Host University of Illinois Extension Live Virtual Presentation of “Start Your Seeds!”

Please join us on Tuesday, February 23rd at 6:00 p.m. for a virtual presentation titled “Start Your Seeds!” hosted by the Magnolia Public Library and presented by University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener and Master Naturalist Volunteer Robbin Keenan. Are you itching to get into the garden? Ready to dig into some soil? Any soil?! Scratch that itch by starting your own seeds indoors. Get the benefits of choosing the varieties that YOU want to grow, and don't be limited by the seedlings available in stores a few months. We'll cover what seeds need to grow, a few of my favorite places to order seeds, some supplies and methods to make your seed starting more successful, and finally how to get those seedlings into your garden or planters. Join us online with the Magnolia Library in Putnam County, and get ready to grow! At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to ask questions via live-chat.

This program is free, open to the public, and will be presented in an easy-to-use virtual format. Interested individuals can email Peggy Smith of the Putnam County Libraries for information, or you may visit their web page  to access the Zoom link. You may also contact Meg E. Overocker, University of Illinois Extension Program Coordinator, if you have any questions, or call our University of Illinois County Extension LaSalle County Office at 815.433.0707.
