Marshall-Putnam 4-H Offering Workshops to All Area Youth

Are your kids going a little stir crazy? University of Illinois Extension, Marshall-Putnam 4-H has some upcoming workshops for youth. There is no charge for the workshops; however, we are accepting items to support our local food pantries as your donation.

  • October 24-STEM: Lets go Fly Make a Kite  ages 8-18, 10:30- noon
    • Youth will create a geometric tetra kite
  • October 31- Crawl on in to Creepin’ it Real with Spiders ages 5-7, 9:30-10:30am
    • Activities include spider facts, spider craft and take home snack
  • November 14- STEM: Robotics ages 8-18 time to be determined
    • Youth will make a basic robot
  • November 21- Holiday Workshop ages 8-18, 9:30-10:30am
    • Youth will create holiday gifts for family
  • December 5- Cloverbud Holiday Workshop ages 5-7, 9:30-11:00am
    • Youth will create holiday gifts for family
  • December 12- STEM Holiday Activity ages 10-18, time to be determined
    • Youth will make a lighted Christmas tree
  • December 19- Gathered Treasures Holiday Centerpiece ages 8-18 9:30am 
    • Parent and child will make a holiday centerpiece

All workshops will be held at the University of Illinois Extension office, 509 Front St. Henry.

Space is limited for each of these workshops. Social distancing and masks will be required. Workshops may be postponed or canceled pending the state requirements. Call early to ensure your spot, 309-364-2356 or email amscheel@illinois.edu.
