Tile and Water Management Seminar to be held January 21st at the Marshall-Putnam Extension Office

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS EXTENSION – Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam Unit

 

University of Illinois Extension – Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam Unit and the Marshall-Putnam Farm Bureau invite you to the upcoming Tile and Water Management Seminar on Tuesday, January 21. The program will be held at the Farm Bureau Building, 509 Front Street in Henry, at 7:00 p.m. There is no cost to participate. Pre-registration is required by January 20th to University of Illinois Marshall-Putnam Extension Office at 309-364-2356.

 

Featured Speakers for the evening are: Dr. Richard Cook, University of Illinois Water Management Specialist; Russ Higgins, University of Illinois Extension Commercial Agriculture Educator; Ryan Arch, Representative of Illinois Land Improvement Contractors Association; and the Marshall-Putnam Soil and Water District.

 

Topics of Discussion include: exploring new methods of tile drainage, importance of soil health with proper water management, economic return of proper tiling and waterways, what options does a producer have of problem field and wet areas?, and new tile products and their effectiveness.
