YQCA Training Opportunities for 4-H Members

University of Illinois Extension invites you to participate in the upcoming YQCA (Youth for the Quality Care of Animals) Training. This training is for all 4-H community club members in Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall and Putnam Counties who plan to show their beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, goats, and/ or sheep at their local 4-H fair/ show. In the spring of 2022, University of Illinois Extension will offer four, in-person trainings for youth and their families; please attend the one that works the best for you!

The first session is on March 24, 2022 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the LaSalle County Extension Office which is located at 1689 North 31st Road in Ottawa. When registering online, go to YQCA.org; enter Ottawa for the training site and Beth Dellatori for the instructor. There is a $3.00 fee due at the time of registration.

The second session is on March 28, 2022 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Bureau County Extension Office which is located at 850 Thompson Street in Princeton. When registering online, go to YQCA.org; enter Princeton for the training site and Anne Scheel for the instructor. There is a $3.00 fee due at the time of registration.

The next training opportunity will be held on April 2, 2022 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the Marshall-Putnam Counties Extension Office which is located at 509 Front Street in Henry. When registering online, go to YQCA.org; enter Henry for the training site and Anne Scheel for the instructor. There is a $3.00 fee due at the time of registration.

The last training opportunity will be held on April 23, 2022 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at IVCC (Rooms CTC 124/ 125) in Oglesby. When registering online, go to YQCA.org; enter IVCC for the training site and Beth Dellatori for the instructor. There is a $3.00 fee due at the time of registration.

Masks will be required, and social distancing will be practiced at each training site. We look forward to seeing 4-H members from Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, and Putnam Counties represented at these training opportunities!
