In-person Training & Testing

Due to COVID-19, PSEP will not be offering any in-person training for the 2020-21 training season. In-person testing options will be available, with dates and locations TBD.

In-person training and testing is scheduled and conducted separately for Commercial Operators/Applicators and Private Applicators. If you are unsure of what training/testing you need, see Licensing Info.

Commercial Clinics

Jointly administered with the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDA). Typically 2-day clinics wherein the first day General Standards training and testing is provided and the second day various category trainings are provided along with a testing session open for all categories of licensure. Some category trainings take place the afternoon of the first day.

A registration fee of $50 includes admittance to any/all of the trainings offered at that clinic, space permitting. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a seat due to capacity restrictions. The registration fee also includes a workbook which closely follows the training.

For testing, participants should bring a photo ID, basic function calculator (No cell phones permitted for testing) and the retest letter mailed by IDA (if applicable).
