AgrAbility enhances the quality of life for farmers, veterans, and other agricultural workers with disabilities, so they, their families, and their communities continue to succeed in rural America. To date, more than 1,500 farm clients have received one-on-one services though Illinois AgrAbility.
One of the first ten states funded by USDA’s AgrAbility program, the Illinois AgrAbility Program has served residents of Illinois for over 30 years. The number of farm clients who received a full review and evaluation of their needs and a subsequent case management plan quadrupled from 15 farmers a year in 1991 to more than 110 a year during the previous USDA funding period.
Illinois AgrAbility is a partnership between the University of Illinois Extension, Community Health Partnership of Illinois, and Illinois Assistive Technology Program.
