Kara Boozer serves Bond, Clinton, Jefferson, Marion, and Washington, providing leadership as a 4-H Youth Development Educator. Boozer focuses on 4-H club and leader support, livestock policies, and the youth education initiatives identified as signature initiatives. In partnership with local 4-H program coordinators and volunteers, she plans, conducts, and evaluates programs that are consistent with the needs of local youth.

With a background in teaching high school agriculture, Kara truly believes the 4-H motto, to make the best better. Kara always strives to inspire all youth to thrive and reach their full potential through positive youth development. Prior to her role as a youth development educator, Boozer served as 4-H Extension Program Coordinator in Marion County and a SNAP-Ed educator with Illinois Extension, providing nine years of service.

Boozer earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education and Animal Science from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and a Master of Science in Agriculture Education from the University of Illinois. Kara was a 10-year 4-H member. She resides on a small farm in Marion County with her husband and four kids, who are just starting their 4-H careers.
