Brooke Welte joined the University of Illinois Extension team in 2017 as the Office Support Associate in Bureau County, and became an Office Support Specialist in 2024. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance with a minor in Insurance from Indiana State University. 

In her job as office support for Bureau County, she works directly with the public and the staff. She makes sure the office runs in an organized and efficient fashion, answer questions from the public using Extension resources, as well as assists in program preparation. She also helps take care of the fiscal responsibilities for Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall and Putnam Counties, supporting staff and working closely with departments within the University system, and assisting with the annual fiscal budgets and audits.

She particularly enjoys working with 4-H, and helping at the Bureau County 4-H Fair each year.
