Karina serves as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, and Putnam Counties. She enjoys promoting what Illinois Extension offers in her local communities. 

Karina has a B.A. in English with an emphasis in professional writing from Eastern Illinois University. As an English major, Karina has a range of experience from teaching to marketing. While attending EIU, Karina worked as a photographer, writer, and page designer at The Daily Eastern News. 

In her free time, she enjoys teaching creative writing at her local YMCA. She also enjoys caring for her 5-pound yorkie, Pancho.
