April 17 - Rockets to the Rescue (Stomp Rockets)
Saturday, April 17, held via zoom, limited to 25 family spots
This workshop captures many of the wonders and issues of modern day engineering. It emphasizes aerospace engineering , as it incorporates lessons related to math, science and physics.
- $5 cost per family
- Registration open from April 1 - 11
- Project relationship - Aerospace
- 8 - 19 year olds will be at 9am
Cloverbuds Ages 5 - 7 Straw Rockets used with bottles
- Cloverbuds - Ages 5- 7 will be at 10am no registration limit for cloverbuds
- Registration open from April 1 - 11
Note: For both sessions participants will need to provide their own bottle.
March 20 - Can Can Robots
Saturday, March 20, meeting will be held via Zoom
Open to all ages - Cloverbuds and 4-H members
Based off the Junkdrawer robotics project area, 4-H members will receive a project kit that will include everything to make a Can Can Robot.
- Registration will be open from February 22 - March 7
- Kit pick up information will be sent out to families
- A Zoom meeting will be held at 9am on Saturday, March 20 to build your own Can Can Robots. Cloverbuds will need a parent to assist.
- Kit cost: $5 to be paid online by card EXCEPT Shelby County 4-H members. They will select pay by check as the Shelby 4-H Federation will be paying the fee.
February 27 - Building your very own Trebuchet
Saturday, February 27, meeting will be held via Zoom
4-H ages 8-18 will start at 9am.
Based off the Junkdrawer robotics project area, 4-H members will receive a project kit that will include everything to make a trebuchet (marshmallow shooting catapult).
- Registration will be open from January 26 - February 5.
- Kit pick up will be during the week of February 12.
- Jim Sparks, SPIN Club leader, will create a "how to" video on building the trebuchet. A video link will be emailed to those who sign up.
- 4-H'ers will need to build their trebuchet by Saturday, February 27.
- A Zoom meeting will be held at 9am on Saturday, February 27 to go over the building process, ways to improve your trebuchet, answer any questions, etc.

February 27 (Cloverbuds)
Saturday, February 27, meeting will be held via Zoom, 10am
Cloverbud members will learn how to make a popsicle trebuchet in a workshop led by Youth Educator Kim Morrison. How to build a trebuchet video
January 30 - First Aid Kits
During a time of remote learning and early dismissals, your are having to stay home for longer periods of time. With this kit, you can help your members be better prepared for accidents that may happen. Each member will build their own first-aid kit and understand how to use each item they put into the kit. Sarah Bush Lincoln Community First Aid will be assisting with this program.
