4‑H Bloom & Read Service Day 🌼Join us for a special day of learning, creativity, and giving back!
4‑H youth will build tiered planter boxes, explore the difference between annuals and perennials, discover pollinator-friendly plants, and practice garden design for sun and shade. After planting, these beautiful boxes will be placed at local senior citizen gathering sites for everyone to enjoy. Youth will also press flowers to create handmade bookmarks, which they will donate to senior living facilities. The day will culminate with youth reading to residents, spreading joy and connection through stories and nature. This hands-on experience combines gardening skills, art, and community service while giving youth the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their community.
