Capture the beauty of autumn while learning photography skills in a fun, hands-on environment! Participants will begin with a photography lesson covering basic techniques, composition, lighting, and tips for taking great photos. Afterward, participants will put their new skills to the test during a photo scavenger hunt.
Each participant will receive a list of items to find and photograph. Your challenge is to find and photograph one example of each item on the list. Take as many photos as you'd like during the time allotted and enjoy exploring the beautiful fall scenery.
After the workshop, review your photos at home and select your favorite image from the scavenger hunt. Email your favorite photo to Kristen Buttrum at buttrum@illinois.edu by the end of the day on Friday, October 23.
Submitted photos will be judged, and the photographer of the winning image will receive a special award! The winning photo and recipient will be announced during 4-H Achievement Night on November 20.
Come ready to explore, create, and capture the colors and wonders of fall through your camera lens. Whether you're using a camera, tablet, or smartphone, photographers of all skill levels are welcome!
