Colors of the Autumn Canopy: Oil Pastels

Join us for a fun and creative afternoon under the colorful fall trees at Foundation Park! In this outdoor art class, young artists will explore the changing season using bright, blendable oil pastels.

Instead of just “drawing a tree,” we’ll learn how to see the world like artists. Together, we will explore:

Observational Skills: Noticing and capturing the bright reds, golden yellows, and warm browns along the park’s trails.

Emotional Expression: Using colors and marks to show how the cool air and crunchy leaves make us feel.

Pastel Techniques: Learning how to layer, blend, and smudge colors to create texture and bring fall scenes to life.
