Welcome to the Illinois Extension Agricultural Association (IEAA). We are a member-driven association that promotes the development of Illinois Extension educators involved in agriculture.
Our membership is as diverse as the field of agriculture and includes a range of specialists and educators. IEAA professional development seeks to accommodate all members and includes:
- family farms, both large and small
- commercial row crops
- livestock
- horticulture
- specialty crops
- rural to urban agriculture
- natural resources conservation and development
- homeowner to commercial operations
Through our state organization and the National Association of County Agriculture Agents (NACAA), you will find many opportunities to advance your career. Through the national organization of NACAA, you will find professional development opportunities in JCEP and PILD. In IEAA, our spring and fall meetings grant Extension ag professionals access to learning opportunities around the state. Leadership opportunities can be found at the state and national levels. IEAA and NACAA provide each member with scholarship and award opportunities.
IEAA gives you the opportunity to connect not only with Extension Educators in Illinois but with every educator in your field through NACAA. See where NACAA can take you.
IEAA membership is a great way to be connected to your peers and to develop professionally and personally. Take a look at our current membership list.
We invite you to visit and be our guest at a district or state event and look forward to your participation on the national level as a member of our organization. Feel free to contact the current IEAA president, Talon Becker, with questions about IEAA or any of our Officers or District Directors.
The scope of agriculture continues to change in Illinois. IEAA is poised to ensure our Extension educators are ready to meet the next generation of agriculture challenges and innovations.
