Pollinator Habitat

The Native Seed Share is an annual, free event in McDonough County that helps make native plant gardening available to everyone. Designed for beginners and experienced gardeners alike, participants can receive and exchange native seeds, learn practical planting tips, and connect with local experts. The event addresses the loss of native plants and wildlife habitat by encouraging the use of Illinois native species in home landscapes. As a result, more residents are creating pollinator-friendly gardens, supporting biodiversity, and strengthening local ecosystem health.
