Partnership with Urbana Park District

The East Central Illinois Master Naturalists would be nowhere without our more than 15 partner organizations. Organizations, such as the Urbana Park District, love that these volunteers are trained, knowledgeable, and committed, and in 2024, Master Naturalists put in over 600 hours on park district projects. The park district and Illinois Extension team up for weekly stewardship days in Urbana’s natural areas, the annual Climate Action Week, which includes a tree and shrub sale hosted by the Master Naturalists, and in leading the public in natural area education at the park district’s many sites.
