LaSalle Public Library to Host University of Illinois Extension Live Virtual Program “Winter Bird Feeding”

On Tuesday, December 8th at 6:00 p.m., the LaSalle Public Library will be virtually hosting University of Illinois Extension for another exciting program! Join University of Illinois Extension Master Naturalist and Natural Resource Coordinator Lisa Sons for a program on Winter Backyard Bird Watching and Feeding.  Discover the winter feathered friends that might visit your backyard, and learn how to feed these overwintering birds. You will also learn how to make your own bird feeders, the secrets to how overwintering birds manage to keep warm in such frigid temperatures, and how to enjoy the hobby of bird watching, no matter where you live or the time of year! At the end of the program, Lisa will answer audience questions via live chat.

This program is free, open to the public, and will be presented in an easy-to-use virtual format. Interested individuals will need to email Rachael Blomquist at the LaSalle Public Library at rblomquist@lasalle.lib.il.us in order to register and receive the link to the program and viewing instructions. You may also contact Meg E. Overocker, University of Illinois Extension Program Coordinator, at meo@illinois.edu if you have any questions, or call our University of Illinois LaSalle County Extension Office at 815.433.0707.
