Lights, Camera, Confidence! Theatre & Public Speaking for Kids

Are you ready to step into the spotlight? Kaskaskia College and 4-H invite youth ages 8 and older to join our Theatre Arts & Public Speaking Workshop on Saturday, January 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Kaskaskia College.

This fun and interactive workshop is designed to help young participants build confidence, improve communication, and express themselves creatively. Through engaging games, drama activities, and team challenges, attendees will:

  • Learn how to create and deliver compelling stories
  • Practice acting, improvisation, and performance skills
  • Develop strong public speaking and presentation techniques
  • Gain confidence in communicating ideas clearly and creatively

Hosted by Kaskaskia College Speech and Theatre Professors, this event is the perfect opportunity for youth to play, perform, and speak up — because every voice deserves to be heard!
