Private Pesticide Applicator Testing Dates Announced

University of Illinois Extension – Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam Unit is offering the following Testing-Only sessions and certification program for private pesticide applicators. Certification is required to apply restricted use pesticides. The sessions are in cooperation with the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Pre-registration is required. No walk-ins will be allowed.

Mask Policy: Properly worn face coverings are recommended within the testing locations. Mask guidelines are ultimately determined by each individual exam host location. Those unable or unwilling to abide by the mask restrictions are directed to the IDOA online examination system at https://www2.illinois.gov/sites/agr/Pesticides. Participants will need to bring a calculator. Calculators must be simple function calculators. No smart phones or smart devices will be allowed. Do not come to a testing session if: if you have a fever greater than 100.4 F, if you or a household member have tested positive for COVID-19, if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, if you are unable or unwilling to comply with the mask policy or other social distancing restrictions.

There is no charge for the testing. If you need a reasonable accommodation, please indicate when registering.

Marshall – Putnam Counties University of Illinois Extension Office (Private Applicator Test Only)

  • Friday, February 10, 2023, Noon – 3 p.m.

Marshall-Putnam Office, 509 Front Street, Henry.  Register by calling the University of Illinois Extension – Marshall-Putnam Office at 309-364-2356. No charge to attend.

 

LaSalle County University of Illinois Extension Office (Private Applicator Test Only)

  • Wednesday, January 11, 2023, 9 a.m. – Noon
  • Friday, February 17, 2023, 9 a.m. – Noon

LaSalle County Office, 1689 North 31st Road, Suite 2, Ottawa.   Register online at www2.illinois.gov/sites/agr/Pesticides/Pages/in-person-testing.aspx, or by calling the University of Illinois Extension – LaSalle Office at 815-433-0707. No charge to attend.

 

Bureau County University of Illinois Extension Office (Private Applicator & All Commercial Tests Offered)

  •  Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 9:00 a.m. – Noon,
  •  Tuesday, March 21, 2023, 9:00 a.m. - Noon

Bureau County Office, 850 Thompson Street, Princeton.  Register online at www2.illinois.gov/sites/agr/Pesticides/Pages/in-person-testing.aspx, or call the University of Illinois Extension – Bureau Office at 815-875-2878. No charge to attend.

Private Applicator Manuals and workbooks can be purchased online or at local Extension offices. Extension offices are located in Princeton, Ottawa, Henry and in Oglesby on the IVCC campus. Questions may be directed to Daryle Wragge, Ag Program Coordinator, 309-364-2356.
