OGLESBY, Ill. – Bundle up and experience the quiet beauty of winter with Illinois Master Naturalists at our Winter Nature Walk at Nell’s Woodland (2000 Alexis Ave, Ottawa, IL 61350) on January 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This guided hike invites participants to explore the wonders of the forest and discover what’s happening in nature during the colder months.
On this walk, you’ll learn how to identify trees without their leaves, uncover signs of wildlife, and gain insight into the unique adaptations that help plants and animals survive winter. It’s a perfect opportunity to ask questions, connect with nature, and enjoy the serene landscape of Nell’s Woodland.
