How to Sign Up for the Online Training
- Step 1: Click the orange "Commercial Training Enrollment" button above. Create an account/log in with your existing account, then choose the course from the dropdown list. If enrolling in multiple courses, select them all before moving to Step 2.
- Note: If you have a Learn@Illinois Extension account (created between 2020 and early 2024) and have not yet claimed your Extension User Account, please create a new account using the same email address. See this FAQ for details.
- Step 2: Check your registration details. Make sure your email and course are correct.
- Note: Changing contact info in Step 1 won’t change your course email. If the email is wrong, log out and sign in with the correct one.
- Step 3: Make the payment.
- Step 4: After payment, you’ll get two emails — one for registration and one for course enrollment (usually within 5–10 minutes, but it may take up to 24 hours).
- All training courses have a 30-day enrollment period starting immediately when you receive the ENROLLMENT confirmation email. Your courses will appear under "My Courses" when you log into Learn @ Illinois Extension.

General Standards - Training
• Estimated Completion Time: 4 hours
• Course Fee: $45 for 30 calendar day access starting immediately
Additionally, completion of this course will provide the following CEUs: (1) Illinois Department of Public Health - 3 hours for Structural Pest Control (2) Golf Course Superintendents Association of America - 0.35 points toward entry/renewal of GCSAA class A and CGCS.
Aquatics - Training
• Estimated Completion Time: 2 hours
• Course Fee: $25 for 30 calendar day access starting immediately
Demonstration & Research - Training
• Estimated Completion Time: 2 hours
• Course Fee: $25 for 30 calendar day access starting immediately
Field Crops - Training
• Estimated Completion Time: 3.5 hours
• Course Fee: $25 for 30 calendar day access starting immediately
Additionally, completion of this course will provide Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs) with 3.5 board-approved self-study hours for Integrated Pest Management.
Grain Facility - Training
• Estimated Completion Time: 2 hours
• Course Fee: $25 for 30 calendar day access starting immediately
Mosquito - Training
• Estimated Completion Time: 2 hours
• Course Fee: $25 for 30 calendar day access starting immediately
This course is intended to help Commercial Pesticide Applicators prepare for the Mosquito category certification exam and to meet legal training requirements for Mosquito Operators and Applicators who apply residential barrier mosquitocides.
Ornamentals - Training
• Estimated Completion Time: 3 hours
• Course Fee: $25 for 30 calendar day access starting immediately
