Jordee Koehler is the County Extension Director for University of Illinois Extension Offices of Bond, Clinton, Jefferson, Marion and Washington Counties. Since Koehler began her tenure in March 2019 she has quickly added to her already proven record of building and implementing innovative, impactful programs.
Under her leadership, staff reimagined and redesigned the decades-old Master Naturalist certification program to cultivate and engage the next generation of environmental and land stewards. The refreshed model has inspired other Extension offices throughout the state to do the same.
With Koehler’s commitment and strategic approach to reinvigorating the Extension brand and increasing its visibility and value in the community, the organization has strengthened and enhanced many community partnerships, United Way of South-Central Illinois and SSM Health among them. These partners have expanded their reach and impact in new and exciting ways.
Before joining Extension, Koehler served as the Assistant Director in the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Her responsibilities included operations management and leadership in the Institute.
Koehler earned an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics with a minor in Finance from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
