Andrea S. McNeil, MPA, is a dynamic professional dedicated to youth development, community engagement, and strategic program management. With a Baccalaureate degree from Northeastern Illinois and a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of New Orleans (UNO), Andrea leverages her robust analytical foundation to create, measure, and evaluate performance metrics for impactful programs and initiatives. Her Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) in the Workplace Certification underscore her dedication to collaboration.

Andrea played a pivotal role in the comprehensive murder reduction strategy, NOLA for Life, utilizing innovative web technologies to increase community engagement and participation in the youth and young adult Midnight Basketball Initiative.

She has also served as Board Secretary for the YMCA/John M. Singleton Charter School, where she demonstrated commitment to community development, fostering partnerships and leading impactful initiatives.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Andrea's engaged to a Coles County resident, sharing their home with two senior dogs and enjoying adventures in their vintage Airstream travel trailer. This well-rounded perspective enriches her ability to connect with youth on various levels.

With a wealth of experience, a commitment to community betterment, and a passion for youth empowerment, Andrea McNeil is poised to make a transformative impact in the role of 4-H Youth Development Educator at the University of Illinois Extension.
