Make money from your woodlands beyond timber sales

Lenny Farlee, Extension Forester Purdue University

Timber sales are one of the most common sources of income for woodland owners, but several other products and services may provide money-making opportunities.

Explore products and services that can help landowners earn dollars from their properties.

  • Products like medicinal herbs, syrups, fruits, nuts, and craft items or supplies may be sourced from woodlands.
  • Services like lease-hunting, camping, and other recreational pursuits or experiences may also offer income opportunities.
  • Carbon sequestration markets may provide some revenue options as well.

More information and resources for assistance give allow participants to explore each topic in depth. International Society of Arboriculture CEUs will be available for attendees.

Presenter: Lenny Farlee, Purdue University Extension Forester
