We’ll begin with a brief presentation on the importance of forest moths, an explanation of Illinois Extension Forestry’s forest moth research project, and discuss apps and references for participants to use to monitor moths on their own. We’ll then check out different methods of attracting moths and conclude with a short night hike through the demonstration forest where moth traps will be monitored with participants. Please bring a headlamp or flashlight if you plan to join us on the hike.
