Pheasants Forever and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service's Partners for Fish and Wildlife have partnered with the University of Illinois Extension Forestry Program to offer a beginner's chainsaw safety workshop for women landowners on June 7th in Cass County.  This workshop aims to equip participants with the beginning knowledge and skills to operate a chainsaw safely and confidently, an essential tool in prairie, savanna, and forest restoration.

Join us for a hands-on, field training for Beginner Chainsaw Safety at an active Hills Prairie and Oak Savanna Restoration near Arenzville, IL.

Space is limited to 15 participants.  Registration fee is $15.00.  Register at https://pfqf.myeventscenter.com/event/Womens-Chainsaw-Safety-Training-93946 

Participants are required to:
     • Wear long pants and work boots
     • Bring their own snacks, water, and sack lunch
     • Bring signed waiver (provided after registration)

Optional:
     • Bring chainsaws and PPE (chaps, helmets, hearing & eye protection). If you don't        have them, we will provide them for you
     • Bring a camping chair to use on breaks
