Are you ready to master the culinary arts? Step into the spotlight as a young cooking star at the 4-H Food Challenge. Present your culinary creation in a competition designed to spark creativity, teamwork, and knowledge of food and nutrition. Youth will work in teams to plan, prepare and present a dish with predetermined ingredients within 40 minutes. Experiment and discover new flavors, textures and techniques. Impress the judges with your new knowledge of cooking and nutrition basics. High school youth are welcome to sign up as a team or as individuals who will be placed into teams.
Our learning workshop and practice event will be held at......on Friday, February 7 from 5-8 p.m.
The competition itself will be held on Saturday, March 15 from 9-12.
This event is a qualifying event for the Illinois 4-H State Food Challenge!
