Back to Basics is a six-session series focused on the basics of homesteading through conservation and agriculture practices that can be completed at home.

These days groceries can be so expensive, especially if you have a family. Illinois Extension educators Jamie Mahlandt and Chris Lueking will teach participants how they can be frugal with their spending, grow their own food and more!

Illinois Extension Educator Kris Juelfs will go over many different types of flour and how to achieve your own butter from home.  

 

Seed Saving: September 9

Spring and Summer are ending and the cooler temps have arrived, what do I do with my leftover seeds so they are good to go next planting season? Educator Chris Lueking will share tips and tricks on how to save those seeds so participants are ready for the following year's garden season.
