University of Illinois Extension 4-H is offering a free macramé workshop for youth ages 8-18 at the Extension office, 850 Thompson St., Princeton. The workshop will be held on Monday, October 12th from 5:30 – 7:00 pm with all materials provided.
Learn a brief history of macramé and create a beginner level piece utilizing the twine method. Participants will select their own color yarn(s) to create a decorative hanging unique to them. While the workshop is open to both 4-H and non-members, those choosing to participate in the 4-H program may enter this project in the 4-H Fair as a Visual Arts: Heritage Arts project.

Registration deadline is Friday, October 2nd. Space is limited to the first ten participants. Participants will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
