4-H Senior Spotlight: Meghan Penoyer of the Fox River Warriors in LaSalle County honored

The University of Illinois Extension Bureau, LaSalle and Marshall-Putnam 4-H honor the seniors of 2020.  This week we highlight Meghan Penoyer.

Meghan Penoyer is a 4-H member in the Fox River Warriors and LaSalle County Federation.

Her favorite projects over the years have been Rabbitry and Dog Obedience.

In Meghan’s 4-H career she learned, that no matter the social skills and openness to new things, everyone belongs and has potential to be a strong leader.

When asked, Meghan said that the 2019 4-H Fair is her favorite 4-H memory.

Meghan’s advice to younger 4-H’er is, “You have to be persistent to actually see results. Nothing can just change overnight, but you can make it happen over time”.

She plans to enlist in the United States Marine Corps.

4-H Volunteers Meghan would like to thank, “Honestly every single one. Mary Jane Spinazola, Toni Pienta, and Karen Pillion are my big three, thank you for always being my stability through my spontaneous life”.

If you have questions or if you would like information about joining 4-H, email Anne Scheel for Marshall-Putnam, Danielle Gapinski  for Bureau County or Toni Pienta  for LaSalle County, or please call University of Illinois Extension – Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam Unit at 815-224-0889.  4-H is the Youth Development Program of University of Illinois Extension.
