Agronomy Night 2020 to take place on February 18

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS EXTENSION – Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam Unit

 

University of Illinois Extension - Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam Unit invites ag producers, agri-businesses and others interested to attend “Agronomy Night 2020” taking place on Tuesday, February 18, 6:30 p.m. at Illinois Valley Community College, Oglesby, Room CTC 124.

 

Speakers and topics include:

“What We Learned About Hemp Production in 2019”, Phillip Alberti, University of Illinois Extension Commercial Agriculture Educator; “Alberti will be giving an overview on all types of hemp production (grain, fiber, and CBD) focusing especially on the production failures and successes of the 2019 growing season and providing insight into potential strategies as we plan for 2020. “

“Updates in Field Crop Disease Management”, will be presented by Dr. Nathan Kleczewski, University of Illinois, Department of Crop Sciences, Extension Pathologist;

and Russ Higgins, University of Illinois Extension Commercial Agriculture Educator, will discuss on-farm projects to be hosted in the area.

 

Certified Crop Advisors can obtain 2 CEUs, one in PM and one in CM.
