Brookfield Aces 4-H club of LaSalle County recently participated in the Seneca Fall Fest which was held in October at Crotty Park in Seneca, IL. Among the many displays and children activities, the Brookfield Aces 4-H Club hosted a Make and Take Stress Ball project. In addition, club members sold baked goods and photo cards which were made by various 4-H club members.
4-H club members oftentimes participate in community events and provide services to assist event coordinators. Community service and service learning is a regular club focus along with many other projects.
The club also celebrated fall with a pumpkin decorating contest. Members each decorated or carved their own pumpkin and brought it to their October club meeting. Throughout the process, members identified goals and what they wanted to learn through the process. Members completed a project record report to share and explain the process of their experience. Record keeping is just one of the many skills 4-H members learn through their 4-H experiences and project completions.
