Bureau County 4-H members see success at Illinois State Fair

On August 13, 2021, Bureau County 4-H state fair delegates attended the Illinois State Fair in Springfield with their qualifying projects.  The Illinois 4-H State Fair General Project Show is an opportunity for youth to be competitively judged on project work, as well as receive valuable feedback from experts, which allow them to increase their knowledge and mastery in a project area.

First and second place finishers in each class received champion and reserve medallions.  Additionally, some projects were judged against a peer group for Inspire Award consideration.  These recipients were judged against other exhibits, not necessarily in the same project category, and awarded by the judge to highlight or acknowledge.
