Bureau County Youth invited to showcase public presentation skills

4-H excels in preparing youth to speak confidently. The 4-H Public Presentation Contest allows youth to highlight their exceptional presentation abilities in a supportive environment. Youth will learn from professionals as well as their fellow 4-H members.  

Youth ages 8 – 18 are invited to participate in Bureau County’s Public Presentation Contest on April 1st beginning at 1:00 pm at the University of Illinois Extension office, 850 Thompson St., Princeton.  4-H membership is required to participate. 

Speech categories include formal, illustrated, original works, and oral interpretation.  Youth selected in a local county 4-H contest to advance to the state contest will compete on June 5th at Richland Community College in Decatur.
