Enjoy your indoor houseplants

Houseplants can be a wonderful way to bring the outdoors in, especially during our long Midwest winter months. Sometimes keeping them healthy and having the right conditions under which they can flourish can be tricky. The public is invited to join University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener Natalie Martin on Thursday, February 20th, 6:30 p.m. at the Princeton Public Library for a free program on houseplants. Natalie will discuss the best plants to choose, what types of containers will allow the plants to thrive, light requirements, and other concerns such as pets and children. The program is free to the public.

The mission of the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener program is "Helping Others Learn to Grow." The Master Gardener program offers free educational programs and presentations to the public in order to fulfill the objective to distribute science-based horticultural information to individuals and groups in local communities.

For additional information on this program, please contact the Princeton Public Library at 815.875.1331.
