February library kits are full STEAM ahead

“Our families love them!” has been just a glimpse of the feedback received from the Seasonal STEAM 4-H program which began in Tiskilwa in November.  Since November, the program has expanded to include Buda, Ladd, and Walnut libraries, as well.

February kits introduce youth to thaumatropes, an optical toy popular in the 19th century.  Kits are available, in limited quantities, at participating libraries.  To obtain a kit, for youth ages 8 – 18, you may contact one of the participating libraries for pickup instructions.

The program will continue till May and has been a great opportunity for youth to gain exposure to 4-H.
