Final Call for Registration for the “Growing Together“ Educational Spring Seminar Offered at IVCC
Registration space is close to capacity for an all-day Spring Seminar being held at the IVCC Peter Miller Community Technology Center taking place on Saturday, February 22nd, 2020. The seminar, hosted by the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener and Master Naturalist Programs, along with Illinois Valley Community College (IVCC), is open to the public, and will focus on a variety of horticultural and natural resources topics. The seminar begins at 8:30 a.m. with a keynote address by Candice Hart, University of Illinois Extension State Master Gardener Coordinator, and will be followed by four educational sessions. Sixteen classes will be offered that day covering such topics as growing summer bulbs, turtles of Illinois, invasive ornamental species, home hydroponic gardening, and more. Attendees will be able to choose one of four available classes per session. The seminar will conclude at 3:30 p.m. A registration fee of $40 includes the keynote address, four educational sessions, a continental breakfast, and lunch. Vendors will have items for sale during the duration of the day. Attendees will also have the chance to win a variety of door prizes. Advance registration is required by February 15th, 2020.
