Ladd Public Library has joined the list of Bureau County libraries participating in Bureau County 4-H’s Seasonal STEAM kit program. This partnership allows youth ages 8 – 18, within the community, to receive monthly activities focused on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Math. Innovation Grant Funds are making it possible to offer these kits to area communities at no cost.
Kits may be picked up at the Ladd Public Library during their hours of operation by calling (815) 894-3254. A limited number of kits are available per month with the program running through May 2021.
“These kits have been a great way to continue connecting with new youth despite current regulations. These offer a small glimpse into the opportunities that 4-H can offer and we hope that youth consider continuing their 4-H learning by becoming members in a local community club near them” shared Danielle Gapinski, Bureau County’s 4-H and Youth Development Program Coordinator.
Participants are encouraged to share photos and results of their participation on Bureau County 4-H’s Facebook page.
