LaSalle Public Library to Host University of Illinois Extension Live Virtual Presentation “Growing Food, No Matter the Garden Size”

On Tuesday, March 16th at 6:00 p.m., the LaSalle Public Library will be virtually hosting University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Natalie Martin as she delivers a program titled “Growing Food, No Matter the Garden Size”. Natalie will walk you through different strategies and plant varieties that can work for your yard, no matter if it’s big or small.  From patios, to acreage, Natalie will go over equipment needed, containers, and plant varieties!  Factors such as light, water, and nutrients affect plant growth, and Natalie will discuss all of them in relation to you yard. At the end of the program, Natalie will answer audience questions via live chat.

This program is free, open to the public, and will be presented in an easy-to-use virtual format. Interested individuals will need to email Rachael Blomquist at the LaSalle Public Library  in order to register and receive the link to the program and viewing instructions. You may also contact Meg E. Overocker, University of Illinois Extension Program Coordinator, if you have any questions, or call our University of Illinois LaSalle County Extension Office at 815.433.0707.
