Leadership and Community Service found through 4-H Federation

4-H recognizes that youth are an important resource in our communities. 4-H doesn’t teach youth to be leaders someday in the future; 4-H places youth in meaningful leadership roles today and surrounds them with caring, supportive adults. One way to grow into a leader is through 4-H Federation.

Bureau County will be hosting a Federation Kick Off on Thursday, October 28th from 4:30 – 5:30 pm at the University of Illinois Extension conference room, 850 Thompson St., Princeton. Youth ages 13 – 18 interested in gaining leadership and community service experience, while having fun, are invited to attend.  To register please contact 4-H and Youth Development Program Coordinator, Danielle Gapinski, at 815-875-2878 or des85@illinois.edu. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.

For more information about the 4-H program, call University of Illinois Extension – Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam Unit Office at 815-875-2878.  If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate, please indicate when registering or contact the Extension office.  Extension offices are located in Princeton, Ottawa, Henry and in Oglesby on the IVCC campus.
