Understanding the significance and technique of prescribed burns can be pivotal for land management and environmental health. Join us for an informative session with Jeff Harris, Southern Illinois Prescribed Fire Coordinator with Pheasants Forever, on September 30 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the University of Illinois Extension Office in Nashville.

Harris will delve into the benefits of prescribed burns, including their role in promoting healthy ecosystems, managing vegetation, and preventing larger wildfires. He will also cover the technical aspects of initiating and managing these controlled fires to ensure safety and effectiveness.

This event, hosted by University of Illinois Extension, is free and open to all ages. However, minors must be accompanied by an adult.
