March is National Nutrition Month! This is a great month to check your fruit and vegetable intake and to make sure you’re getting the recommended servings per day. The USDA recommends making half your plate fruits and vegetables, and striving for at least 2 servings a day for fruit and 3 servings a day for vegetables. All forms of fruit and vegetables count whether it’s fresh, frozen, canned and dried. When consuming juice, make sure to select 100% juice for optimal nutrition. In-season fruits and vegetables are typically cheaper and have better flavors and textures than out-of-season fruits and vegetables.
