Marshall-Putnam Cloverbuds Learn Spiders Are Not So Scary

Cloverbuds (4-H youth ages 5-7) participated in a spider workshop on Saturday October 31, 2020, at the University of Illinois Extension, Marshall-Putnam 4-H office in Henry. The Cloverbuds listened to facts about spiders from Abrianne Holler.  They learned about the life cycle of spiders and how they are good for our environment.  Anne Scheel, 4-H & Youth Development Program Coordinator, read the book I’m Trying to Love Spiders by Bethany Barton. The youth made a spider out of a pumpkin, and then they created their own spider treat out of cookies, candy and pretzels.  All the kiddos said they would TRY to love spiders.
