University of Illinois Extension Offers Program on Organic Versus Synthetic Pesticides

The summer series of the Four Seasons Gardening Program from the University of Illinois Extension concludes with a session titled "Going Organic: Are organic pesticides safer than synthetic?"

Statistics show home landscapes receive three times more pesticides per acre than commercial agriculture production. Many clients are turning to "organic" products due to their growing market and perception that these pesticides are safer, but are they? Join University of Illinois Extension Horticulture Educator Chris Enroth as he sheds some light on the debate of organic vs. synthetic.

This program will be offered via a live webinar on Tuesday, August 6th at 1:30 p.m. at the following University of Illinois Extension Offices: Bureau County in Princeton; Marshall-Putnam Counties in Henry; and LaSalle County in Ottawa.
