Kaitlyn Streitmatter

Kaitlyn Streitmatter is a public health professional with the University of Illinois Extension Health and Community Wellness team, specializing in community and stakeholder engagement to advance food systems, nutrition security, and community health. She provides strategic leadership for statewide initiatives that build and sustain partnerships, align stakeholder priorities, and translate research into impactful programs that improve quality of life across Illinois.

Previously, Kaitlyn served as Senior Manager for Policy, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) initiatives with Illinois SNAP-Ed, where she guided statewide PSE strategy, cultivated cross-sector partnerships, and led the implementation of PSE approaches across communities and coalitions. She brings expertise in coalition-building, systems change, and implementing evidence-based strategies at scale.

Kaitlyn holds a Master of Public Health and a Master of Kinesiology and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. She is committed to fostering collaborative, community-driven solutions that advance health and promote sustainable systems change.
