2026 Annual Conference Update
The Extension Leadership Team has made the decision to forego hosting an in-person Annual Conference this year. We recognize how valuable this time together is for networking, professional development, and celebrating our colleagues.
As an alternative, we are exploring new ways to offer opportunities for staff to connect with campus faculty and departments, participate in professional development, and recognize our 2026 Excellence Award recipients. We appreciate your flexibility as we consider options that best support our statewide team. Please stay tuned for additional updates and details.

Big Thanks to Our Featured Speakers!
Karl is a keynote speaker, facilitator, and leadership expert who empowers individuals and teams to lead with clarity, purpose, and emotional intelligence. Since joining the Extension Foundation in 2020 after 23 years in the U.S. Air Force, he has inspired 32,000 Cooperative Extension professionals through coaching, team development, and program support to create meaningful experiences for communities across the country. Karl is also a proud spouse and father of two.
Sydney Loflin is a 2025 graduate of North Carolina State University in Agriculture Science. She is currently working on her master’s degree. Sydney is a past 4-H state officer as well as a BASF Collegiate Ambassador. She is pursuing a career in agricultural communications or public relations and co-authored the book Focused as a Bee.
