Explore the Kincaid Lake Trail starting below the Crisenberry Dam on this out-and-back interpretive hike of around 5 miles, starting at 9:30am and ending at approximately 12:30pm on October 26.  We’ll enjoy the views of the lake and hopefully some early fall colors while learning about the flora and fauna along the way. This area is located near the confluence of multiple natural divisions including the Greater Shawnee Hills, Illinois Ozarks, Southern Till Plain, and Lower Mississippi River Bottomlands Natural Divisions so we are likely to encounter a wide variety of species on this hike.

We’ll meet at the small parking area below the dam (37.77536, -89.45387) but there is additional parking just down the road at the spillway if needed.  This hike will be co-led by Kevin Rohling, Extension Specialist, and Kim Rohling, Extension Educator, and is a collaborative hike offered by the Shawnee Group of the Sierra Club and Illinois Extension. Sorry, no pets allowed.
