4-H Cooking School

Designed for participants who are new to cooking and baking, this hands-on cooking school introduces youth to essential kitchen skills. Participants will learn kitchen and food safety, basic food preparation techniques, and the fundamentals of nutrition.

Using recipes from the Cooking 101 Project Manual, youth will build confidence in the kitchen and have the opportunity to showcase recipes at the General Project Show.

When: June 2-4 from 9 a.m.- 11 a.m.

Where: Immanuel United Church of Christ, Carlyle, IL

Open to youth ages 8–12 as of 9/1/25.
